These are photographs of
the Modela Especial style guitar, which is similar to a Ramirez
1a from the mid-1960s. As is the case with all Thomas
Beltran guitars, each one is named, rather than given
a serial number. Customers can choose any wood for
the top and back/sides. The sides are laminated with
Spanish Cypress on the inside. The scale length is
664 or 665 mm.
As with all Thomas Beltran
guitars, each one is individually hand-made. On this
guitar, the sides and back are of Brazilian Rosewood,
and the top is from Western Red Cedar. The neck is
made of Spanish Cedar, and the fretboard is ebony.
If you are looking for a
shorter scale length, you might want to consider
purchasing a Thomas Beltran style guitars based on the
Hauser shape.
